History of the Dodge Dart – Now & Then By Elizabeth Donahey, Marketing Manager, Victory Dealer Group, Petaluma CA – The new 2013 Dodge Dart is a technologically advanced, compact sedan that first made its comeback from the 60’s at the 2012 North American International Auto Show on January 9, 2012 [1]. The Dart’s engineering is based on a version of the Fiat Compact platform, like the Alfa Romeo Giulietta but features a larger 1.5 in (38 mm) in width and with a 3.7 in (94 mm) longer wheelbase that is now called the Compact U.S. Wide (CUSW) platform.
